EVERYONE'S GOOD GRACES
Our goal is to provide hospitality, vision, and a slice of community every day. By supporting the needs of the community, we strive to preserve the EGG: Everyone's Good Graces.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER EGG PLATE
$1 of each Egg Plate enjoyed in September and October at Blue's will go to Next Door. Next Door promotes school readiness for young children and families through exceptional early childhood programming and whole-family support services. They serve nearly 1,100 children, ages six weeks to 5 years old in Milwaukee. This year's holiday gift drive goal is to provide a holiday gift for 70 of the Next Door families.
Our Egg Plate Charity changes every two months, and it's one of the ways we hope to help support our great community. Our goal is to provide hospitality, vision, and a slice of community every day.
By supporting the needs of the community we strive to preserve the EGG: Everyone’s Good Graces. We’ve supported 91 Egg Plates Charities and more than 288 local organizations.
BLACK LIVES MATTER.
We have been trying to find the words to express our feelings and support. Words that would not ring hollow in the haste to speak out. In that search and listening to the BIPOC community, we realized we didn’t have to look further than our long-standing company values.
At Black Shoe Hospitality, our mission has always been “… to be great members of the community. Our businesses are a means to support causes, organizations, and individuals in the Milwaukee area… Everyone is welcome.” And that won’t stop now.
For 13 years, we have welcomed patrons to our restaurants the best way we know how – through great food and service. To that end, we will be increasing the diversity of our food sources and staff to ensure we’re supporting and uplifting the BIPOC community.
Black Lives Matter. Everyone is welcome at Black Shoe Hospitality.
We are proud sponsors of public radio in Milwaukee. We love good music and information, and we believe in the power of community-supported radio. We are partners with 88.9 Radio Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Radio at 89.7 WUWM, and 91.7 WMSE.
Dan Sidner of Black Shoe Hospitality blackshoehospitality.com talks with WUWM about the important connection between small businesses and local radio:
We source ingredients for quality first, and we source from local farmers and producers whenever possible. Utilizing local farmers minimizes our environmental footprint, supports the local economy, and provides us with the freshest product.
We proudly serve Valentine Coffee, roasted in Milwaukee, and steep Rishi Tea. We feature an all-Wisconsin beer list.
